The Girls of Promise Conference, an annual program of WFA's Girls of Promise Initiative, exposes girls to opportunities and mentors in STEAM fields. The Girls of Promise initiative aims to enhance the representation of women in advanced STEAM courses and careers, thereby guiding them towards achieving economic stability. The Conference is created for 8th-grade girls interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math* in Arkansas! The girls learn about various STEAM careers, enhancing their skills, and meeting women mentors excelling in their fields. 

*Please keep in mind that the "Arts" in STEAM is referencing the innovative and creative components of a traditional STEM education. We will not have any fine arts (like painting, dance, theatre, etc.) breakout sessions. 

Our 2025 Girls of Promise Conference will begin with a virtual kick-off on Thursday, April 3rd from 5:15-6:00pm, followed by a 1-day in-person conference on Friday, April 4th, 2025 from 8:00am- 4:00pm.
